March 25th Update

So it's been a few days...okay, weeks since we posted. So here's an update on us.

We are halfway through our 6 week, one-night-a-week, 2-hour adoption class. Then we will need to take just one more 2-hour class to complete our 16 hour requirement with the state effective April 1st, by April 1st. Follow? We already took (1) 2-hour class prior to hearing of the new state requirements. We are still trying to meet with families that have done all types of adoptions so that we can get a better sense of which type of adoption God is leading us towards, which we still believe is domestic at this point in time.

We are slowly weeding things out of the house, or "nesting", but without being pregnant! Soon, we will empty out the spare bedroom and turn it in to the nursery/twin bed room. We won't start that until we have signed with an agency/had a homestudy completed. Now THAT'S a process in and of itself. At that point we will start introducing the "baby" (a doll that mimics baby sounds) to Zoey and Alex and carry it around the house so they start to understand why we won't pick them up the way we used to.

So.

Continue to pray for us, our boys to adjust (PS-we found out Zoey's plucking problem was due to lack of humidity and heat in his room), and for that birthfamily out there somewhere who is making courageous decision to not only remain pregnant, but to birth the child and make an adoption plan for that child. Your prayers and letters are of great encouragement to both of us.
