Unbelievable..another post this month?!

Well first of all, PRAISE GOD you are okay Jon Hemmer! We're still praying for your recovery as well as your sister's!

Secondly, PRAISE GOD baby RL is now HOME here in Wisconsin with her parents! Here is me meeting her the second full day she's here (yesterday). Do I look nervous? She's a 10-wk-old baby who was just a delight to be with, thanks K & S for allowing us to be your first visitors! You're doing great on 4 hours of sleep! Our day will soon come and you'll tell me to get out of my pity-party jammies and into the take-charge mommy role! :)

So I wanted to share now that K got hers, a few "cakes" I made as a great gift for baby showers. It serves a dual purpose...one for decoration, the other for baby's rear! LOL Here are the ones I have made over the last month:

The rummage sale did pretty well..over 200 smackaroos! And we had no furniture to sell either unless you call a standing floor lamp furniture when it was only $3! Stop on by and shop the remaining items... I need to clear out before snowfall! Oh wait, that could be this Sunday already..blah!

So there's my side of the story. Write Jack would you and tell him to post here, he is the other half of this marriage and all, and the first letter in our blog name JAKZ..sheesh *rolling eyes here*. Continue to pray for our adoption journey and that God bring us the child/ren HE wants us to raise. OH! Here's the nursery, nothing fancy:

So this being one of my longer posts because of pictures, I'll try and leave SOMETHING for Jack to write about. We pray and give thanks to God for all of you in our journey of life. You have special places in each of our hearts. God Bless!

BLOG POLICE BULLETIN: UPDATE ON JAKZBLOG!

hehe

Well, since somebody reads this blog HOPING for an update, I might as well take the time tonight before I get knocked out by this cold medicine...blah.

We just asked our printer for 40 more profile books on us to send off to LA. That's good news from what I have been told as that means it's more opportunities for us to be seen by others that may be interested in adoption. It is so hard to believe that we have been approved almost 9 months now. Gosh. September came and went, and so now I struggle with that, a let down I put on myself. God knows that Jack and I want so much to be parents, it is such a struggle sometimes as I see other families out there. As said in a FAVORITE song of mine by Matt Redman:

You Never Let Go
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
Your perfect love is casting out fear
And even when I'm caught in the middle of the storms of this life
I won't turn back
I know you are near

And I will fear no evil
For my God is with me
And if my God is with me
Whom then shall I fear?
Whom then shall I fear?

(Chorus:)
Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go
In every high and every low
Oh no, You never let go
Lord, You never let go of me

And I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on
A glorious light beyond all compare
And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
We'll live to know You here on the earth

(Chorus)

Yes, I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on
And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
Still I will praise You, still I will praise You

(Chorus 2x's)

So there you have it. I am saving, saving, saving money or am I Jack? I am hoping to have a rummage sale on Saturday, October 11th with my "overstock" of items, plus diaper cakes I would like to make with the diapers I got for cheap! My next post will probably be about the rummage sale. Got anything you want to donate towards it? We are going to use the proceeds to put towards the small loan we had to take out for this. I pray so hard we become a family of three or four this year, I just can't take the heartache much longer, deep sigh.
