OOPS! I did it again!

I forgot to mention the birth of my first nephew this weekend!!! Congratulations to my brother and his wife on the birth of AJ! Can't wait to see all of my family in six weeks when Jack and I go to Florida for an extended weekend getaway!!! BTW, does anyone want to watch our boys?

Prayer Request

Could you pray for us? We have chosen the agency to do our home study. This agency could also help us with our domestic adoption search as well. This is a big step for us! Once the home study is done and approved, we could receive a call any time to state that a child is out there for us, come meet him/her (and possibly their family). That's the exciting, nerve-wrecking, roller coaster ride that comes along with this journey, as if we were pregnant ya know. The home study could take up to 3 months to complete, that depends on us getting paperwork in promptly, having our letters of reference done, any background checks, fingerprinting, interviews. WOW!

So please continue to pray for us, all birthfamilies out there making the courageous decision to let a second family raise their child(ren), their grieving process, and the reassurance that they made the right decision. God bless!

Something to kill the time with...

This website is pretty fun to look at other names to consider for our kids. Here's the website: Nymbler.

Our girl names, in no particular order:
Briana (we could say this is in honor of my baby brother Brian, *wink*; but this is our first choice)
Isabella
Arielle
Brooke
Anastasia
Annalise
Annabella

Boys, again, no particular order:
Isaac
Jacob
Logan
Zachary
Nathaniel
Joshua
Jeremy

Now these are still open for discussion as we don't know which sex of the child we will be getting first, and we would like to see the child before naming it to say, "yeah, that name totally describes you".

So, off to find something else to kill our time.

July update

Wow, we are in the middle of July already. Would you believe that I was wearing pants and a sweatshirt this past weekend at Lifest?! IT'S JULY PEOPLE!

So, what's new with us you ask? Little I guess. We continue researching which adoption agency to use, moreso due to the following.

Within 10 days, friends have called upon us to ask how our adoption process was going. Both shared that they each knew of two different people that want to make adoption plans for their child. This just goes to show me that God is always thinking of us and the desires of our heart!

Slight problem. We don't have a home study done! We need one done so we can be approved and that will allow us to be placed with children. Our prayers go out to all birthmoms and dads, they make difficult decisions in regards to their children and their future. I truly hope we can have an open adoption with our child(ren)'s birthfamily.

So continue to pray for the birthfamilies, discernment on our part for an agency, and that we continue to seek God's will for the two of us as we expand our family through adoption.
