Visit to naturopath

Well, since I didn't think the results from my general physician were good enough, I made an appointment with both my chiropractor and naturopath. First, my chiropractor adjusted me good this time, as always! Then he checked my abdomen cavity after adjusting my hips and noticed the swelling hasn't gone down. He asked if my pain from almost 2 months ago had gone away, I said no, not really. He said that is wasn't right, the swelling is definitely an inflammation somewhere in my abdomen, not good. My doctor did say to me last week when reading my u/s results that there is indeed some inflammation going on in the pelvic region. So I called my naturopath and made an appointment for next day. Meanwhile, I called the hospital where both copies of my ultrasound and CT scan were available, and then called my doctor's office to get a copy of my records for all visits this year. So off I went and collected all of my records and headed to the naturopath. I must say, you really find out more than you bargain for sometimes, LOL. After reviewing my blood tests and running his own test on me, we came to the conclusion that I have chronic appendicitis. However, not to be alarmed because we could support the lymph gland (appendix) by providing nutrients for the muscles around that area, boost my immune system to help with the inflammation, and help my lymph gland get stronger. I feel it's a step in the right direction. We also discussed why women have cysts in the pelvic area. He stated that most of the time cysts occur due to a hormonal imbalance. For real, b/c I am imbalanced all the time, right Jack? I have an appointment to go back there before Thanksgiving, unless God has plans otherwise! My gut says a laporoscopy (sp?) would be helpful, then we can confirm endometriosis or not and check all the female organs to see if there is any reason for infertility. Might as well look while you got the resources and the body open! LOL

So even though this website was intended for our adoption journey, it has been broaden with this information as some people struggle with infertility that lead them to adoption. We started this process whether biological kids were going to happen or not.

Please continue to pray for healing, or wisdom in which direction to go in regards to my body. Please pray we find time to continue our home study, so that starting our family and sharing the love we so desperately want to give to children can begin. Many thanks for your prayers and support!

The report is in...

My doctor called me last night with my u/s results. The cyst on the right is gone, however, the left has 2 now; and I have a "dual-horn shaped" uterus. As for the pain on the right, the annoying "pinching from the inside" is still there and Jack can vouch for the crabbiness he heard from me on Saturday at the conference! Right, honey?!

I wish we could tell you more about our adoption home study at this point, but nothing has happened. I want to get it done so the waiting can start and we could be busy then like we are now, haha.

Brief update

Well, I had the u/s this morning. It was not fun to say the least. I will have results from my doctor (who was next door in the clinic as far as office suites) within the next 2-3 business days. He said to me last week that he should have them by Friday, tomorrow. I have been quite patient with this whole process and some of the tests, I know God is carrying me through.

Side note, Jack and I will be at a marriage conference this weekend, the 12th-14th, with our 8th anniversary falling on Monday! Happy Anniversary dear! This will be great to help remember our roles within our marriage, before children, and once children come into our family.
