An update...

Well, we have made very little progress towards adoption. We have taken two more classes. However, we do have a meeting set up with Bethany Christian Services on June 13th to learn more about them. We are doing this after all the craziness for me (Kimberly) here at work these next two weekends.

Please pray for Jack as he travels this week for his pilot classes, for me - strength to endure these next two weeks, and that we are on the right path with God's will being done in our family.

Not to be outdone by his little brother, Zoey decided to show off tonight. This goes to show why need human children! :)

A thought...

Some of you know of my allergies, some of you don't! :) Too bad, so sad, ;P
Well, one of my nieces has some allergy issues at church as well so we hang out on Sunday by attending different churches "feeling" out where we are most comfortable. So anyways, we had a small discussion this past Sunday on the swingset, well it was more like Aunt Kim talking and hoping her niece is listening, ha!
So here's the thought, more like God talking through me to her.
Her uncle passed away this past Saturday, with the viewing tonight and service tomorrow. I was talking about how her dad may have welcomed home one of his brothers up there in heaven with him. Then that lead in to how bright it was Sunday, I can't imagine how glorious it looks in heaven! Back to the thought. I said, you know that the sun is so big and bright, provides light in the darkness of our solar system and warmth, yet it's so far away, untouchable. Well, that sun is like God. He's so big we can't comprehend, He provides light in the darkness, and extends warmth to us at all times with unconditional love. Isn't that awesome of how great our God is!

This song brought me to tears on my drive in to work this morning. It made me realize that I haven't given God my all in this adoption journey, nor my life journey. Jack and I don't have a diagnosis for infertility. We just believe that this is the path God wants us on. We all pray that God should take away circumstances we believe are unbearable, yet this song asks God to bring those circumstances unto us to bring glory to Him!

I continue to ask that you pray for others involved in this journey, and as Margo just reminded me, it opens your eyes to how great and mighty our God is!

all the way to Florida!

So, here we are on the almost monthly basis of blogging about our journey. Thanks to my best friend's nagging, I am finally updating from the previous blog before another month goes by! :)

What I was doing that night was pondering, "What should I do that will affect this adoption journey?"

1. Killed my myspace.com page since I didn't have the time for it. Besides, myspace is on the down slide.
2. Registered online at target.com, potterybarn.com, and babiesrus.com. Not that we are expecting any of you to buy for the munchkin yet, you will be notified!
3. Went to discussion.bethany.org and read posts in regards to being adopted, birth families choosing an adoption plan and post-adoption. It's really something to think about as to how much deeper having this child will mean to us, a blessing!
4. We cancelled taking our Alaskan cruise this year in the hopes of saving towards adoption and focusing on improvements for the house.

Again, we truly appreciate everyone's prayers for the birth families, the children for whom an adoption plan is made, the caseworkers, the social workers, the foster care system, foster families, interim care providers, respite care providers, the list goes on! These people make it possible for our dream to come true.
